Idaho State Capital

It was raining and I was trying to get this shot before I got soaked. As a result, I am not sure about the details of this image. Here are the basics:

  1. I shot five vertical images and stitched them together in post. This allowed me to produce a final image with enough resolution for a rather large print.
  2. The exposure time was 30 seconds, I think. There was very little traffic out so I had to stand in the rain and wait for a very long time before I could capture the tail lights on one side of the image. Remember, each side of the image was captured in a separate exposure which meant I had to stand and wait again for a care to drive down the other road. It seem like whatever you need for a shot is almost never there. Why is that?
